Jurlique is the number one prestige cosmetic brand in Australia. We have the farm here, we grow the herbs, we produce the product in the factory and then we sell it – we call it seed to store.
The company turns over about $190 million, we have 1200 employees and sell to about 20 countries. Our number one country for sales is China, where we have 100 stores.
One of the taglines for the company is ‘the purest place on earth’. Our founders looked at New Zealand, Asian countries, European countries, and couldn’t find the right characteristics. They scoured the world and settled on Mount Barker.
Seventy-five percent of our product is export, so access to infrastructure is really important. Every day, product goes down the freeway and goes out by sea or air to international customers.
